Why "Peacebuilding-Humanitarian-Development"?

In today’s interconnected world, addressing complex issues demands a multifaceted approach.

While providing immediate relief is essential, it’s equally crucial to delve deeper and tackle the underlying root causes of crises to prevent their recurrence. This holistic perspective underscores the importance of integrating humanitarian efforts with peacebuilding and development frameworks. Humanitarian efforts typically focus on providing short-term emergency assistance, but many global issues, such as refugee crises, require long-term solutions. Even after the emergency phase has passed, refugees often cannot return home due to ongoing instability, conflict, or inadequate conditions. This underscores the need for peacebuilding and development interventions to address underlying issues and create sustainable solutions.

PHD Young Leaders recognizes the interconnectedness of these fields and the pivotal roles they play in creating lasting change.

Why PHD Young Leaders?

Amidst the escalating humanitarian crises worldwide, the demand for capable and ethical individuals in the field has never been greater.

PHD Young Leaders is on a mission to equip passionate youth with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing them to serve in humanitarian, peacebuilding, and development efforts, whether as their primary vocation or alongside their other pursuits in the future.
